Operation Warm Heart serves 71 families

Adopt a Family hats and glovesThe temperature was cool enough Saturday morning that many families may have thought the Operation Warm Heart distribution was just in time.

Adopt-A-Family volunteers organized the fifth annual Operation Warm Heart to provide winter outerwear for needy families. This year’s project was the biggest to date, serving 71 families with a total of 172 children.

The children were asked to try on their new coats before they left to be sure the sizes were right. They also had a chance to pick out a hat and mittens to match.
